To realize the Heal vision we are looking for talented engineers to join us! As a Senior Data Scientist at Heal, you will have the opportunity, working with the Data Science team and stakeholders, to take disparate data sets and create models and reports allowing us to operationalize our data.

What you’ll do:

  • Leverage your knowledge of statistics to help create and enhance our capabilities around predictive analytics and operationalize data and present data studies to stakeholders to facilitate strategic business planning
  • Utilize your knowledge of analytics to influence the direction of our Data Science team, build data models and reports allowing us to predict customer behavior, long-term growth forecasting, and market predictions that will help Heal make informed decisions
  • Run analysis and experiments to test hypothesis and report results
  • Mentor junior Data Scientists to improve their skills, and make them more effective team members
  • Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to collect requirements, and create tools and solutions for the enterprise

Skills you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years professional experience as a Data Scientist using technologies such as R, Python (numpy/pandas/scipy)
  • Expertise in statistics and probability modeling which includes knowledge of regression models, clustering and GLM.  Experience with recommendations engines is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing large data sets in a distributed computing environment
  • Effective presentation skills
